Free State Stars defender Sankara impressed with PSL standard

Free State Stars defender Robert Sankara is impressed with the standard of the Absa Premiership.

Sankara, a naturalised Burkinabe born in Ivory Coast, has played a vital role for Stars since signing for them at the beginning of the season, starting 10 of their 12 League games.

"I am feeling so good, this first season in the PSL is a very good experience for me. I am enjoying it. Here the football is very strong," Sankara told his club's official website.

Meanwhile, Sankara is determined to help his side free themselves of the relegation zone.

"This moment is not good for us but we have to fight," Sankara said.

“We must work hard for the five matches. It must be a fight every match to get the points,” he added.

Ea Lla Koto next host mid-table Bloemfontein Celtic at Charles Mopeli Stadium on Wednesday.

Sankara people don't believe me, they doubt what I say, they even frown upon it when I say the PSL is amongst the best leagues in the world… I stand behind that, I guarantee it…

Good observation Sinkara, but I have to say that I am also very impressed by the IPL that league must be paying loads of money to have icons like Anelka, Trezegert, Mattarazzi, Fikru Lemmasse, Admilson, and many more...
