Sundowns injury concerns heading into Wednesday's Tshwane Derby with SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Champions Mamelodi Sundowns have a lengthy list of injury concerns heading into Wednesday's Tshwane Derby with SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

According to Downs' website, club skipper Alje Schut has suffered a quad strain at training, while fellow centre-back Mario Booysen is nursing a groin strain.

Meanwhile, the left-sided Mzikayise Mashaba is hopeful he can recover in time from the calf strain that saw him miss Bafana Bafana's 2-0 victory over Ivory Coast in the Nelson Mandela Challenge on the weekend.

In midfield, Elias Pelembe is still carrying the quad problem that he aggravated on international duty, while Percy Tau is battling a knee ligament injury.

Up front, Cuthbert Malajila is trying to shake off a hamstring complaint, with fellow striker Katlego Mashego still recovering from a quad strain.

Left-back Tebogo Langerman is also suspended for the Absa Premiership tie.

No worries there even if we can play with only Ramagalela as a lone striker we have have enough attacking middle fielders.

TheDownsYellowArmy  Eish, are these guys even sharp enough in front of goals Dawana?  Lack of game time might be a huge factor. Hence I put Moriri for his experience.

Eh players get injured or suspended! Sundunuza has players eh? This is the time to give other players a chance. The only concern should be the ledft back option with both Langerman and Mashaba unavailable. Still, there is Punch in that position. Clearly, this shouild not be a concern. Pitso's post match interview is a must see. W, L or D, the guy will shock u with words coming out of his mouth my Ogga.
