Maritzburg United coach Steve Komphela said he is trying to instil certain values in teenage striker Mohammed Anas.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian has scored twice and provided an assist in six outings this season, most recently netting in his side's 4-1 League win over SuperSport United on 22 October.
"Anas is a prolific goal scorer. He had done very well in Swaziland and the he was recommended to come through [to Maritzburg]," Komphela said on his club's official website.
"We had a look at him, we had been screening a lot of strikers and the departure of Yakubu Mohammed and Orlando Smeekes created the void, so we had to fill the gap and we looked at Anas.
"We saw a guy who has strength, he can hold the ball, play with the defender at his back, got a relative amount of technique to survive in any situation, he is a fighter.
"There is still a certain amount of values we are trying to instil into him. An element of hunger, humility, selflessness. We know strikers are selfish so we say yes be selfish, but play with others. It seems to be working."
