Chippa United captain Mbenyane struggling with toe complaint

Chippa United striker Andile Mbenyane has been battling with a niggling toe injury he sustained against Ajax Cape Town on 29 August.
The 26-year-old has missed his club's last two Absa Premiership wins over Moroka Swallows and Orlando Pirates, as well as their most recent Telkom Knockout loss to Platinum Stars earlier this month.
“The injury is not something serious but just that his big toe gets sore every time he kicks the ball,” explains Chippa spokesman Lukhanyo Mzinzi to KickOff.com.
“Mbenyane has already gone for scans three times but there was nothing showing that his toe is broken or anything like that. The only problem is when he kicks a ball he feels the pain.”
The Chilli Boys captain was expected to train today ahead of the League game against AmaZulu on Saturday. Should he no longer feel pain he’ll be available for the clash at Moses Mabhida Satdium.
