Platinum Stars midfielder Edgar Manaka suspects he will soon make his debut for the club following his surprise move to Dikwena instead of Orlando Pirates on transfer deadline day.
Manaka initially looked like he was heading to Pirates in August but landed up at the Telkom Knockout champions on a three-year deal from Black Leopards.
"I don't have much details about the move to Pirates but I believe both Leopards and Pirates could not agree on a tranfer fee," says Manaka.
"However I am happy that I finally realised my dream of playing in the PSL after signing with Platinum Stars. They are a big club and they showed that when they won two trophies last season. I am here to add value to the team."
The former Lidoda Duvha man confirmed that he has had a heart-to-heart chat with Stars coach Allan Freese about his opportunities in Rustenburg.
"You must remember I was not part of the team during the pre-season and was behind in everything, including how they are playing this season," Manaka explains regarding his lack of game-time.
"It's a new environment for me and also I needed to settle down. However so far it has been good. I like the place in Rustenburg, it's more cool and quiet.
"I have been working hard at training and I believe I am now close to making by debut at Platinum Stars."
