Nhlapo called up for Ngcongca Bafana Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo

Posted: 8 October 2014 Time: 08:53

Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba has called up Bidvest Wits' Siyabonga Nhlapo to replace injured defender Anele Ngcongca.

Nhlapo, 25, will link up with Bafana for back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Group A leaders Congo Brazzaville on 11 and 15 October.

Ngcongca picked up a knock on club duty for RKC Genk. The right-back played for his Belgian side in their 0-0 draw at Anderlecht over the past weekend.

Bafana will depart for Point-Noire on Thursday evening.

Ticolby23 Sorry why include Ndulula I like your starting line-up but please exclude Ndulula you better start with at least Zulu he has pace or start with Rantie

I wish Baxter was playing Khotso Moleko as often. The boy should just walk into that Bafana right back position.

Than Rantie I prefer Erasmus. He has pace and skill
