Orlando Pirates coach Vladimir Vermezovic said he hopes the Fifa break proves less disruptive to his charges this time around following the club's 2-1 win over Polokwane City.
Bucs bounced from back-to-back losses at City's expense on Sunday, with Thabo Qalinge netting a 68th minute winner after Issa Sarr cancelled out debutant Tokelo Langa's deflected opener at Orlando Stadium.
Vermezovic said after the Telkom Knockout last-16 tie: "Ja, even before the goal, we controlled the game but unfortunately you know it was a mistake, you know it was a rebound.
"But never mind, my guys, they played good football, they are coming back.
"Now we have a Fifa break, we are gonna see. You know the previous time it was not so good for us. I hope this one is better."
The Serbian went on to laud his squad options, having made five team changes against 'Rise and Shine' since his side's previous 1-0 league loss to Chippa United.
"The guys that came back, like Happy [Jele] and [Lehlohonolo] Majoro, they did a good job today. Patrick [Phungwayo] was excellent on the left side.
"This proves we have quality, it doesn't matter if we play Majoro or Kermit [Erasmus], or in the middle [Thandani Ntshumayelo] 'Bibo' or Sarr, the question is only the psychological."
