Absa Premiership Free State Stars Moroka Swallows

Posted: 27 September 2014 Time: 14:52

Free State Stars rallied from two goals down to oust Moroka Swallows 3-2 in the Absa Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Swallows enjoyed a 2-0 lead at the break thanks to strikes from new signing Vladimir Mandic and Felix Obada.

However, Ea Lla Koto responded with interest via a brace from Adam Abdul-Basit and goal from Moeketsi Sekola at Goble Park.

After a slow start, Swallows went ahead in the 20th minute as new signing Mandic scored his first goal for the club with a scuffed shot that looped over goalkeeper Ayanda Mtshali.

Obada then doubled the advantage with a composed finish on the stroke of half-time.

Stars, though, pulled on back soon after the interval, as Sekola volleyed home from six yards out.

Adam then equalised with a superb volley from a tight angle in the 63rd minute before bagging the winner with a low strike 10 minutes later.

Good observation Benzol, those stupid guys are not interested in scouting for local talent. The 8-0 drubbing by Bloemfontein Celtic tells Swallows' pathetic story.

Ish this is very said members - I remember in GI days swallows used to be the most attacking team in psl abo Chenene, Nomvete etc but now dont even good passing football we play like amateurs most players cant even trap the ball, we can keep the ball for long, our marking is so bad, the defence leaks like never b4, we dont create enuff chances then are we gonna score goals and subsequently win games, something must be done immediately otherwise i c a disaster here.
