Multichoice Diski Challenge Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Ngobeni encouraged despite draw with Platinum Stars

Posted: 25 September 2014 Time: 09:27

Thela Ngobeni felt Mamelodi Sundowns' reserve team showed signs of improvement in their goalless draw with Platinum Stars in the Multichoice Diski Challenge in Soweto on Wednesday.

MATCH REPORT: Plat Stars 0-0 Sundowns

The Brazilians beat Free State Stars 2-1 in their tournament opener last weekend.

“Even though we drew the match I believe it was a much better showing from the boys this time around as we were more convincing with the ball,” Ngobeni told his club's official website.

“The opponents this time around seem to have come with a solid plan to defend and they did just that,” added the goalkeeper.

At least he is not complaining about game time, he's just quietly making money.
