Bloemfontein Celtic's Vuyani Ntanga is banging on the first team door after plundering four goals in a Multichoice Diski Challenge match.

The PSL Reserve League resumed with a bang on Wednesday morning, with Celtic thumping Moroka Swallows 8-0.

Man of the Match Ntanga was the chief destroyer, with the pick of his strikes a sumptuous volley from 30 yards out.

"I want to thank God for giving me the strength and also my teammates, they helped me a lot. Of course you know I haven't been playing so much in the first team so it's my chance to prove to the coach that I'm ready," Ntanga said after the rout.

Ntanga pulled up with what looked like a minor hamstring injury in the final minutes of the game, but the player is unsure as to its severity.

"I don't know yet, I'll just wait to go back to Bloemfontein and confirm with the doctor, then we'll see from there."
