450th KICK OFF magazine hits stores

Posted: 19 September 2014 Time: 10:51

It's been 20 years of 'Soccer of its Best' and this month your favourite magazine is celebrating 450 editions with bumper stories from Chiefs, Pirates, Sundowns, Swallows and Bafana.

Here is what you can expect in the new edition, which hits stores in the greater metropolitan areas on Friday, 19 September and the rest of the country on Monday the 22nd.

COVER STORY

Mandla Masango
Kaizer Chiefs attacker Mandla Masango has been at Naturena since 2007 and this season he is finally coming out of his shell. The 25-year-old sits down with Lovemore Moyo to reveal how American rapper 50 Cent gave him strength to continue and explains why he never left.

Lehlohonolo Majoro
Since crossing floors from Kaizer Chiefs to Orlando Pirates, Lehlohonolo Majoro has been crucified, called arrogant and selfish, and been denied game-time. In this exclusive interview he talks about the misconceptions, his lawsuit with his former agent Tim Sukazi and why Orlando Pirates players thought he was arrogant.

TITLE RACE
KICK OFF journalists talk to coaches, players and former players and pick the favourites for the League title. Read why Mamelodi Sundowns can defend their title and clinch their seventh PSL title. How Stuart Baxter can bounce back from last season’s disappointment and bring back glory to Naturena. Orlando Pirates players are finally understanding Vladimir Vermozovic's way of doing things but can this translate to a League title challenge? Gavin Hunt has done it before with SuperSport United, can his new team Bidvest Wits clinch the title against all odds?

BAFANA BAFANA
Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba talks about his young guns he surprisingly called up for matches against Sudan and Nigeria – Rivaldo Coetzee, Dumisani Msibi, Ayabulela Magqwaka, Nhlakanipho Ntuli and Bonginkosi Ntuli.

EJIKE UZOENYI
The Most Valuable Player at the 2014 CHAN tournament, Mamelodi Sundowns' new signing Ejike Uzoenyi explains why he joined Sundowns, his relationship with Pitso Mosimane and why he calls South Africa home.

BORN FREES
National Under-20 side Amajita qualified for the African Youth Champions after beating Cameroon. Aubrey Modiba shares the secrets of the team of 'born frees'.

JAMES RODRIGUEZ
Colombian international James Rodriguez took the 2014 Fifa World Cup by storm in Brazil but can the 23-year-old be Real Madrid's new golden boy? Signed for R1.1-billion, can he fit in, and shine, in his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu?

Hahahahahaha, in 1995, I remember cutting a picture of Chiefs' Frank Makua [22] off the mag and pasting it on the wall at home. The following day, I found it in the toilet, thanks to my eldest brother's "I thank my chairman" tendencies.

Good feet Kickoff.com....well done!

I remember Gavin Lane doing a back pass to William Okpara, only to find out that He was passing Daniel 'Mambush' Mudau to score against Nija keeper. LOL!

Nassif Morris did the same against Tunisia and Dos Santos punished Moeneeb Josephs.
