Kaizer Chiefs joined Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 Final after outclassing Platinum Stars 3-0 (5-0 on aggregate) at Soccer City on Sunday afternoon.
Amakhosi got the goals through Man of the Match Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Katlego Mphela and George Maluleka, with the latter netting a brace in his team's 2-0 victory in the first leg of the semi-final.
Pirates reached their fifth successive final - to be contested on September 20 at a venue yet to be announced - with a 5-1 demolition of Bidvest Wits in their last-four tie.
Chiefs started strongly, and nearly struck 18 minutes in but Stars goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe did superbly to tip a strike from Letsholonyane onto the woodwork and out. 'Yeye' showed quick feet in the box to fashion the space for the shot.
Dikwena, who won the tournament last year, threatened five minutes later through Ndumiso Mabena, whose low attempt on the angle triggered a useful stop from the alert Itumeleng Khune.
The hosts, though, opened the scoring in the 29th minute, as Maluleka netted with a curling free-kick from the edge of the area after Letladi Madubanya backed into the leaping Mulomowandau Mathoho.
Stars almost hit back in the 37th minute, but Tsepo Masilela made a last-gasp goal-line clearance after Mduduzi Nyanda's blistering shot forced its way through Khune's hands.
Nyanda sustained a thigh injury soon after, prompting the introduction of Marothi Diale just before the recess.
The Glamour Boys effectively sealed the result in the 59th minute when an unmarked Letsholonyane calmy slotted in a square ball from overlapping left-back Masilela.
Soon after Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter opted to give striker Mphela a run, as well as defender Morgan Gould at the expense of Mthembu and Mathoho respectively.
Mphela almost got away in the latter stages of the match, but Tshepo Gumede tracked back and effected a timely challenge to deny the former Bafana Bafana star a chance to pull the trigger.
Baxter then threw on Siphiwe Tshabalala for his first appearance of the season in the 82nd minute for Maluleka. 'Shabba' looked lively, as he drilled a free-kick on target before dragging a shot narrowly wide of the post.
George Lebese nearly made it 3-0 in the dying stages, but his header from a corner was cleared off the line by Luvolwethu Mpeta.
Mphela, however, struck in optional time as he controlled a Masilela chip into the box before stabbing the ball past Dambe.
