Orlando Pirates management must be regretting the day they issued DR Congo international Blaise Lelo-Mbele his clearance following news that the striker has signed a long-term contract with French team, Paris Saint Germain.
Mbele, currently plying his trade in Tunisia with CS Sfaxien, is expected to join his new team when the transfer window period re-opens in January next year.
Mbele’s agent Bajo Bujani has confirmed that the player has signed a three-year deal with the Lique 1 side. They have only scored 12 goals in 14 games.
“The deal has been concluded and Sfaxien are happy with the offer that was made by the French. Lelo will only join his new team when the transfer window re-opens in January.”
“PSG lies 14th in the 20-team League, Sfaxien are also set to sign another player from Congo to replace Mbele, but unfortunately, at the moment I cannot reveal the name of the player. I can only you that he is an attacking midfielder playing for the DR Congo national team.”
