PSL match reaction: Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Mahachi after scoring against Moroka Swallows

Posted: 21 August 2014 Time: 09:44

Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Kudakwashe Mahachi says he will not let the goal he scored on debut against Moroka Swallows go to his head.

The Zimbabwean netted after receiving a pass from Elias Pelembe in the 83rd minute, 10 minutes after replacing the injured Themba Zwane at Dobsonville Stadium.

Downs won the League game 2-0, with another new signing Mame Niang bagging a 53rd minute opener.

"I would like to thank my coach (Pitso Mosimane) for affording me an opportunity to play and I won't allow the goal to go into my head as it will make me big-headed," said Mahachi, who recently had a move to Monaco fall through.

"All I have to do is stay focused and keep working hard and never relax. I have no personal targets but all I want is to work hard and help my team do well."

The 20-year-old signed with the PSL champions during the January transfer window, but spent the remainder of last term on loan at Highlanders back home.

The victory was the Brazilians' first of the season, while they handed the Dube Birds their first loss of 2014/15.

Khama Billiat and Kudakwashe Mahachi or Ejike Uzoenyi and Elias Pelembe/Lebohang Mokoena. I see a great combination here

Dee FanatiK  sundowns is one team that an opposition coach cant plan against....its only a matter of time before pitso finds a formidable line up then everything will just flow.....the key for a team like sundowns is to gain confident on the field not on paper n for the coach to play the players arcoding to their performance not names......

Thow Dee FanatiK We just need Malajila to combine play in the last 3rd with Niang and Laffor coming from the bench, also Kekana is very important cog that plays a key role.

@Thow @superkhosi @sandawana187

The problem with Pitso is that, its not easy to predict his starting 11... I didn't expect Mbekile to start last night, but to my surpise he was there with Kekana and Teko Modise. Mahachi need game time before Biliat and Mokoena recovers from their injuries.

The sooner Jingle find the right combination, the better. We need fit and strong team to Africa and do well locally.

I liked the look of Zwane, gaining confidence in the Sundowns jersey again

Dee FanatiK The starting line up must not change unless forced,Schut and Booysen have differnt strengths they must play together with Kekana in front of em but I still believe Zungu is not used to his strength

Dee FanatiK  Ja that's a wish that will never happen at sunclowns. remember PSL only allow 5 foreign players and you mentioned 4, what about schut, Muweni, Malatjila. I don't wanna mention sumaila cos he might be on loan

How is PERCY TAU recovering from his injury ... hehehe, we have so much quality yerrr. Themba Zwane is the best right now in Mzansi. Clive Barker was not bluffing when he said he's the best he ever coached.

Skhomo23 He never lost it. Zwane had been on top of his game from day one.

costos Dee FanatiK Mweene, Schut, Pelembe, Laffor, Nyandoro are naturalised now. That means technically they are no longer foreigners even though they are foreigners. Hence they dont occupy the foreign quota.

Schut is naturalised using some clause of SAFA/PSL that says if the foreign player is rich enough he can play as if he is a local player. Ayeye!

Teams will be killed by these boys: Kuda, Billiat, Pelembe, Niang, Zwane, Teko, Zungu. Swallows was Niangtriculated & Mahachiwalloped last night & Rats are next to be Kekanabombed.
