Moroka Swallows have been boosted ahead of their clash with Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday after two of their new foreigners received their work permits.
Midfielder Vladimir Mandic and defender Boris Savic, who signed for the club at the beginning of the season, have missed two League matches due to work permit delays but are now available for selection.
However, there was no such luck for goalkeeper Obren Cuckovic, whose permit is yet to arrive. Swallows general manger Sipho Xulu confirms the news.
“We just received the work permits, just five minutes ago, of the defender [Savic] and the midfielder [Mandic]. The goalkeeper [Cuckovic] didn’t get his but we are trying to get it as soon as possible,” he tells KickOff.com.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that captain Lefa Tsutsulupa has been ruled out for a month with an ankle injury he sustained against AmaZulu.
Birds' inspirational skipper was injured in the 23rd minute of his side's 2-1 victory over AmaZulu last week and replaced by Lerato Chabangu, who went on to set up the first goal and score the winner.
Swallows are sitting top of the table and will face struggling Sundowns on Wednesday at Dobsonville Stadium, kick-off 19h30.
