AmaZulu attacking midfielder Goodman Dlamini is confident that his side will get a good result against Orlando Pirates, having learnt from their mistakes from their past two matches.
Usuthu lost 2 - 1 to Swallows at the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday following their goalless draw against Ajax Cape Town in their opening match of the season.
Dlamini is the only Amazulu player to have found the back of the net so far for the KZN-based side this season, and believes his side can earn a positive result against the Bucs in their midweek fixture.
"We have learnt from our mistakes in the first two matches especially against Moroka Swallows,” the 26-year-old said.
“Against Swallows we missed clear-cut chances with only the goalkeeper to beat; we let ourselves down in that match with the chances we missed.
"Also, we did not concentrate for the entire ninety minutes and that is why we were punished, so going into the Pirates match, there is no room for mistakes.”
Dlamini feels he knows what to expect from their Soweto rivals on Wednesday.
“Orlando Pirates are a good side with a good, exciting brand of football and we are ready for them. It is easier to play against a team which plays an exciting brand of football as we know exactly what to expect and we are ready for them," he said.
Like AmaZulu, Orlando Pirates are still to get their first League win having lost their season opener against Moroka Swallows and then going on to draw against Bloemfontein Celtic.
Usuthu will take on Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday evening, with kick-off scheduled for 19H30.
