PSL transfer news: Monama moves to Mpumalanga Black Aces from Mamelodi Sundowns

Posted: 7 August 2014 Time: 10:06 can confirm that Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Raymond Monama will be joining Mpumalanga Black Aces.

According to our source, the deal is as good as done.

“The two clubs are still talking to finalise the deal and at this stage, it has not been decided whether he will join on loan or an outright deal but I can tell you that he is joining Aces. That’s for sure,” he says.

The 25-year-old joined Sundowns at the beginning of the 2013/14 season, but was loaned out to University of Pretoria in January this year.

He has played just one official match for the Brazilians and that was as a substitute against Golden Arrows on 31 August 2013 at King Zwelithini Stadium with Sundowns winning the match 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Dove Wome, who has since joined SuperSport United.

Aces and Chippa should be wise in acquiring new players. I see most of Downs players are going there, when this players start performing well against other Teams, they won't play against Sundowns. I remember Clive complaining about Zwane last season when he coudnt use him...same thing will happen this season. I am happy this Loan Agreement is under review but KICKOFF as usual doesn't know about it.

at least this Mabunda boy is trying to play football and he is always vocal about being loaned or sold...thats a sign of  a player who is worried about his career but that Tiyani Mabunda is just a fool...he has never even kicked a ball for Sundowns but always busy ko Instagram...mxm

Should be an outright buy from aces.this boy will never make it at downs not because of numbers which aces have as well but the sheer talent of established talent that downs have.he should go to a talent starved team he will play.

Chippa,Platinum and Aces will not use those players against clowns. Surely clowns are on a mission to add more of their players to other teams jst to weaken them.

True dat. The trio from BL was a charity signing. Even the player who gets regular game time (Ramagalela) is not that good. There is an element of just signing because we can.

This player should never have been signed by Sundowns. He is better off at a lower club like Chippa, Amazulu, Aces or Maritzburg.

I disagree that negomasha is responsible for jambo's injury. That was part of the game. Football is a physical game. I feel for both these players. Jimmy for the knee injury . Tinashe for the emotional suffering. They both need help. As for Jimmy I think there is insurance within SAFA/PSL/Kaizer Chiefs or even Wits covering such incidences. Nengomasha shouldn't take responsibility for this, rather Wits should. I rest my case.
