Bobby Motaung clarifies Abia Nale saga

Posted: 4 August 2014 Time: 11:14

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung tells that Abia Nale is a free agent and can join any team of his choice - other than Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Nale spent last season on loan at Aces, and media reports suggest that Amakhosi want more than R1-million, despite him being out of contract.

But Motaung explains that Chiefs had an agreement with Aces regarding the player, hence the price-tag.

Have you created you Fantasy League team for the 2014/15 season? A trip to Spain for the winner!!

“When Aces took Nale on loan from us we made an agreement with them that if they want to keep the player, they have to pay a certain fee,” Motaung tells

“This agreement was between us and Aces and it still stands if they want to take the player. But otherwise Nale is a free agent and can join any other team of his choice.

“If Aces want him then they must honour that agreement we had with them. Otherwise he can sign for any other team like Bidvest Wits, Ajax [Cape Town] or [Bloemfontein] Celtic.

If Nale's contract with Chiefs has expired? Why put a clause when you no longer owns him? What is happening here? i dont understand Bobby.

Problem here is that Nale was supposed to part of the Qalinge deal. But Aces hiked Qalinge price to 7m but let Khoza buy him for 3m. Payback is a bitch!

GoldMedal95_silverMedal2013-2ndBestAfrica Juju, the clause was put while Nale still had a contract with Chiefs, not after.

I personally don't blame Bobby. There was an agreement between the two clubs while Nale was still Chiefs' player, and I think Bobby already planned from the start to use Nale to sweaten the Qalinge deal, but Aces had other ideas. But at the end of the day, you sign a contract, you must honour it, simple as that!

Buc Child GoldMedal95_silverMedal2013-2ndBestAfrica If a contract between me and you expires it means you no longer own me.i.e. you n longer have a say to my dealings. Is Nale still contracted to Chiefs? Who owns Nale as in now?

This is crap, KC doesn't own Nale anymore and they should let him join any team of his choice for free including Black Aces.

But nale is a free agent. How do u want money

posted: 2014-08-04 09:28:04

This should be easy for Nale. Remember how Kenny Niemach ended up at KC after Downs had released him to join Rangers? Nale must just ask any team even in the ABC Motsepe league to sign him then release him from his contract or sell him to Aces for R0, 99 just to teach Bobby a lesson. If only it could be that easy.

dont blame Bobby, there is nothing wrong with the clause on the contract, if they(Aces mngt) were prudent enough they shouldn't have signed the agreement if that particular clause was of contention to them. didnt seem so last season. so now they cant tefela u Bobsteak la, nxi bathathe khosi

GoldMedal95_silverMedal2013-2ndBestAfrica  Buc Child Do you know the clause that say "I sell you this player, but should you sell him later to a bigger team, I get 15% of the transfer fee''? Anything agreed between the two clubs regarding a player, and signed for, is legal, whether or not the contract expired. Same here with Nale.
