Former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Ritchie hopeful of Bloemfontein Celtic deal

Posted: 19 July 2014 Time: 13:31

Former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Keegan Ritchie is hopeful he can win a contract at Bloemfontein Celtic after starting a trial with Phunya Sele Sele.

Ritchie recently returned to South Africa following a brief ill-fated stay with Czech side Slavia Prague.

"I am on trial with Celtic having started today (Saturday)," Ritchie said from the dugout at Bidvest Stadium as Ernst Middendorp's side reached the Charity Showdown final at the expense of Bidvest Wits.

The ex-Moroka Swallows man dismissed speculation linking him with other PSL outfits Orlando Pirates and Mpumalanga Black Aces.

"Celtic are my only option at the moment. I am honestly not sure yet if I will sign, it will be up to the team," says Ritchie.

Nxxx i really hated those flippen speculations tht were linking Ritchie with OPFC wheras every1 can see tht he is not a Bucs material as OPFC have got the likes of Matlaba,Phungwayo etc.

Still Bucs.

Guyz pls! Phela 1 thing you must understand is that, not all players that play well in smaller team if I might say will perform better in bigger teams. This boy has an educated left foot & he is a leftback of note ask Tlou, its just that KC was sort of a bigger stage 4 him suposedly. However, I wish he goes 2 a team that will give him game time. All the best boy. Luv&Peace.
