Monama & Sangweni out of Mamelodi Sundowns?

Posted: 15 July 2014 Time: 11:47

Raymond Monama and Thamsanqa Sangweni look set to leave Mamelodi Sundowns as both players are deemed surplus to requirements.

Sangweni joined Sundowns from AmaZulu at the beginning of the 2012/13 season and spent last term on loan at Ajax Cape Town.

While Monama, who joined from Black Leopards, spent six months on loan at University of Pretoria after playing only seven minutes for Sundowns.

KickOff.com understands that more players are likely to leave Chloorkop when the team returns from a pre-season camp in Zimbabwe.

“So far it’s only Monama and Sangweni who might leave, other players we are not really sure about,” a Sundowns official tells KickOff.com.

“We have received offers from Chippa United about Sangweni and that is where he will likely play next season. As for Monama, we have yet to decide.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian international Ezoenyi Ejike arrives today at Downs after getting a special holiday due to being at the Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

It was in this platform that I warned both these players about the move to Sundowns and they never listened.  When you young the priority should be playing regularly the money will come later.  These youngsters must take a leaf out of Ntethes book and join Sundowns when nearing retirement.

If i may ask why is Sundowns signing so many players an loan them out if they know very well that they don't need them.or they are not even part an parcel of your team building plan?

Why buy them in the first place, just because chiefs wanted Sangweni lol, this team is useless and managed by greedy people who grow up without the privilege of controlling money.

Motsepe must just close his spaza shop and concentrate on ABC Motsepe league and stop enriching the likes of Trot and Co as they are the only beneficiary of these catastrophe our players are finding themselves in.
