Maritzburg United want to sign Abia Nale

Posted: 13 July 2014 Time: 10:46

KickOff.com has found out that Maritzburg United have made enquiries about signing midfielder Abia Nale.

Nale is a free agent after Kaizer Chiefs did not renew his contract for the upcoming season after spending last season on-loan at Mpumalanga Black Aces.

The midfielder could now find a new home in KwaZulu-Natal with United according to a source close to the player.

"Maritzburg United have made an offer to the player. Both parties are still talking and Nale looks like he really wants to come and play for United," the source tells KickOff.com.

Good move if it happen. Steve Kompela and Gavin Hunt know how to get the best out of players.

Kompela is one of the overrated coaches here in the PSL....some they claim he's the best coach and I often ask my self best in terms of what?...what has he won as a coach?

Barker is on record as saying he has big plans for Nale, and has been waiting to hear from Chiefs if he could keep the player. Now this - How do you leave red-hot Aces for Maritzburg?

@dawana I differ with u Steve has. Shown signs of being the best tactical coach, given a big team with a big budget like Hunt,Pitso,Baxter,VV,SSU he can prove his worth. Its jst. So unfortunate for him he is coaching in Bundus.
