Ebrahim Seedat, James Mofokeng trying at Ajax Cape Town

Posted: 11 July 2014 Time: 11:03

Forgotten former national Under-20 midfielder Ebrahim Seedat is hoping to revive his football career by earning a deal with Ajax Cape Town.

The ASD Cape Town academy graduate went to Belgium with Ayanda Patosi but returned to South Africa with Bidvest Wits for the 2012/13 season with the hope of getting more regular game-time.

But having made only nine appearances that season, which included two red cards in his first 10 weeks at the club, the 21-year-old was released at the start of the last campaign after Moroka Swallows turned down the option of signing him and he has been a free agent for several months.

Meanwhile former Platinum Stars defender James Mofokeng, who attended the SAFA-Transnet School of Excellence, is also on trial at Ikamva.

The 22-year-old made just one appearance for Stars last season before linking up with Chippa United in January. His contract with Dikwena expired in June.
