The fraudster targeting PSL players is back again, and this time Black Leopards midfielder Edgar Manaka was the victim.
The fraudster has robbed many people, doing sim-swaps on soccer players’ numbers and calling people to deposit money into his account, pretending to be arrested and needing money for bail.
Mamelodi Sundowns defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Moroka Swallows striker Siyabonga Nomvete have been victims.
And this time the fraudster managed to claim more than R6000 from relatives and close friends of Manaka.
“I have been victim of this scam,” the midfielder tells KickOff.com. “Someone made sim-swap on my number and is busy defrauding people.
“A few people have deposited money into his account and on Thursday someone also lost R3000.”
