Mpumalanga Black Aces wait on Nale while cast doubt on Sikhakhane return

Posted: 21 June 2014 Time: 10:48

Mpumalanga Black Aces are still keen to retain the services of Abia Nale, while they appear unlikely to sign Ntokozo Sikhakhane for the coming season.

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Nale revived his career with a loan spell at Aces last term, with AmaZayoni hopeful he will return as they wait for clarity from Amakhosi.

"It is true that we want to keep Abia Nale but it will hang on Chiefs if both parties do agree," explains club spokesman Gordon Masondo.

"Don't forget that he came to us after Chiefs had exercised the option on his contract which he had on his existing contract. But right now we don't know what is going to happen between the player and Kaizer Chiefs."

Sikhakhane, meanwhile, trained with Clive Barker's side towards the end of 2013/14 with a view to earning a contract. And while Sikhakhane appeared confident of his prospects, Masondo doubts the 35-year-old will be back.

"Yes, he came to train with us before the closing of the season but we didn't sign him and I doubt he will be with us next season."
