McCarthy is said to have signed a two-year contract with Swallows, but now it emerges that he is not happy about certain conditions.
Swallows boss Leon Prins has confirmed the meeting with McCarthy yesterday, but refused to talk about the outcome of the meeting.
“Yes, we met with the player yesterday, but I am not prepared to discuss with the media what happened in our meeting.”
McCarthy’s manager at Prosport International, Francisco Ferreri also refused to talk about the outcome of their meeting saying that it was up to Swallows to make their own comment regarding the case.
However, sources close to Swallows claim that Prins has told McCarthy that they are not prepared to change anything in his contract and expect him to honour his two-year deal signed last month.
The source says McCarthy has requested another meeting with Swallows next week, but in the meantime will continue training with the team.

Fabian if u have other offer that u wish to consider simply ask swallows to release u & have they duez.
I think da guy is Jst tryin by all means 2 be released as a free agent so that he can rejoin Amakhosi again. There is a disaster at the back 4 of chiefs right now & i think the guy is far better than the likes of Nagayo & can do much better.Khosi 4 Life.
I think this can be the best thing to happen. I still can't understand why he was released by Chiefs, You mentioned Nahayo but the main culprit is Quartey. I still maintain he is responsible for the five goals we conceded in the league so far.
One must remember that football is a business and the less the club can pay a player the happier they are.
Here's an example: If the club put an offer of R2500-00 per month a in front of McCarthy and he and/or his agent agreed to it and signed the contract then its brilliant business by the club and its the players problem if he is unhappy afterwards.
