Lerato Manzini joins SuperSport United on loan

Posted: 15 June 2014 Time: 17:11

Lerato Manzini will don SuperSport United colours in the coming season after completing a loan move from Bloemfontein Celtic.

The move forms part of the deal which saw Bevan Fransman sign for Celtic as a replacement for Clayton Daniels, who signed a pre-contract with SuperSport.

Celtic coach Ernst Middendorp explains that Manzini is not in his plans for the season.

“To be honest, I feel that Manzini has fallen behind strikers like Trevor Lamola, Joel Mogorosi and Ghabadinho Mhango for a starting berth position,” he tells the club’s official website.

“Manzini is a big, physical striker and his style is a bit different to the one I foresee Celtic playing with this season.”

Ernst Middendorp is good in analysis, but tend to fail when it comes to coaching. I am not surprised if he doesn't see anything good in Lerato Manzini. His confusion is not of today.

Two of Mazinyo's preferred strikers are foreigners. And we wonder why our national team is always failing.

I fully agree with you Fumigator ..These coaches have got no interest what so ever for the development of our national team..and the club bosses together with SAFA see nothing wrong in this.

If a coach can make such a blunder about his playets, i would be worried if i were the celtics managment..how many glarring mistakes will he make then??? As a coach, you should know your players like the back of your hand...how can you utilise and get the best out of the players when you dont even know their strenghts??? But then again, what do i know
