Interest rises in unsettled Bloemfontein Celtic striker Manzini

Posted: 11 June 2014 Time: 10:35

Bloemfontein Celtic striker Lerato Manzini is concerned about his lack of game-time at the club and is in talks with Phunya Sele Sele towards finding a solution as interest in his services grows.

Manzini has fallen out of favour at Celtic this past season, starting just nine games and scoring thrice with Ernst Middendorp indicating that the 22-year-old is not doing enough at training to warrant a place in the starting line-up.

"He has been concerned with his lack of game-time which is something understandable," Tim Sukazi, the player's agent tells

"So we have engaged Celtic and we hope that something positive comes out of the talks that we are having with the club. It (lack of game-time) is a legitimate concern that has been raised by the player and they (club) have listened to the concerns which is why we are still engaging further on the matter."

This website has already gotten wind that there is interest in Manzini from Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United, while AmaZulu are also said to be monitoring the situation.

"There is interest from other clubs but in that regard we must first engage his club because he is still a Celtic player with two years remaining on his contract," says Sukazi.

Velibanti He is a handful. I think he can be turned to be even a better player problem is can he handle the pressure. Playing KC is not the same as playing for masokolara. If you don't deliver at KC the multitudes of coaches in gold & black will slaughter you

Did you know? Lerato Manzine supported Kaizer Chiefs while growing up and his favourite player was Thabiso “Skapie” Malatsi.
