Tim Sukazi on Asavela Mbekile move to Mamelodi Sundowns

Posted: 9 June 2014 Time: 20:34

Asavela Mbekile business manager Tim Sukazi says his client’s move to Mamelodi Sundowns was not motivated by money.

The midfielder penned a four-year deal today after just one season with Moroka Swallows.

The 27-year-old now faces tough competition from the likes of Hlompho Kekana, Dove Wome and Esrom Nyandoro, but Sukazi says Mbekile is desperate to achieve success.

“An outstanding player will always cherish the opportunity to test his ability against the best,” Sukazi tells KickOff.com. “This is what a move to Sundowns will offer Mbekile after an outstanding first season at Swallows.

“This move will not only test his capabilities at club level, but also on the continent as Sundowns will be playing in the CAF Champions League.

“Yes, of course there are financial rewards for such a move, but it was not our primary consideration. If you are wise enough and aware of the season that just ended, you will fully agree that this is a good move for both the player and the club.”

Let's count players in that position:

Esrom Nyandoro

Sbusiso Kumalo

Hlompho Kekana

Dove Wome

Tiyani Mabunda

Thamsanqa Sangweni

Bongani Zungu

Asavela Mbekile

Surprise Moriri

We should also remember that any of the above player who makes it to the starting 11 will have to be partnered by Teko in that central midfield.

Sundowns is busy strenthning their squard while are busy critisising us. Sooner transfer window will close while others are searching for out-of-contract player. We will sign till a pen runs out of ink.

The Real Lucho okay thanks. but why are we counting now? Who told you Teko is unbenchable? Sangweni has been brought back from loan and he will not be retained because he wanna leave. Nyandoro is aging, come on, you cannot rely on him. We dont kick out our old player like your teams. We pay them and let them enjoy their stay til they hang their boots whenever they wish to do so. Moriri must also not be counted against newcomers. Its disrespectful.

So its Zungu, Wome, Kekana, Khumalo that Mbhekile needs to compete with. And I dont know why is this prompting you to learn arithmetic. Even if he had to compete with 20 more players, so be it. You wanna be the best you must compete with all the best.  Better buy your DOLLY and compete there with your Josta.
