Mngqibisa open to Polokwane City exit

Posted: 9 June 2014 Time: 10:56

Polokwane City defender Vukile Mngqibisa is open to leaving the club amid interest in his services from University of Pretoria, Free State Stars and Chippa United.

Mngqibisa's manager, Mandla Mthembu, however says City will ultimately decide his client's fate.

"It all depends with Polokwane City. He is open for a move but only if Polokwane City agree," Mthembu tells KickOff.com.

Mngqibisi, who hails from the Eastern Cape, has a year left on his contract with Rise and Shine.

Journos never stop to amaze me, during the Jan window period there was a rummour that this player signed a pre-contract with OP. What now? Do people just write stuff in order to look busy. "Matlaba signs a pre-contract with KC" and the agent denies this. SA football must move away from the secrecy of player movement, it is not a sin for one team to have an interest in a player and they speak openly about it. It's either the agents are at work trying to increase the value of the player or the story is in fact true.
