SuperSport United midfielder Andile Fikizolo wants to score against Orlando Pirates in the MTN8

Posted: 4 June 2014 Time: 11:22

New SuperSport United signing Andile Fikizolo says he wants to "destroy Orlando Pirates" again in their first match in the MTN8.

The youngster has signed a three-year deal after his two stunning strikes against Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 catapulted his name into South African football circles.

The 19-year-old is delighted to have signed for one of the country's biggest clubs.

"I'm really, really excited because it was something I was looking forward to doing. I have been praying to get a chance like this and thank God, He has the power. Things are happening and now I will have to use the chance," Fikizolo tells

"Cavin Johnson and the management fortunately saw something which others didn't and thanks to my coach at Thanda, Thami Ngubani, who gave me a chance in the Nedbank Cup where I scored two goals.

"I'm very happy to have signed for SuperSport United and I know there were other teams who were also keen to sign me like Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. SuperSport is the team that I thought I will do well in and grow as a player and show my talent as others have done in the past and moved to Europe."

When asked what will be the first thing he will do to introduce himself to his new coach, Fikizolo responds confidently.

"Whatever they saw in me while I was in the NFD I will show them again that what I did at Richards Bay Stadium against Pirates was not a fluke for Thanda," says the player, who grew up supporting Golden Arrows.

"The first match we will play against them [Pirates] and I have to prove myself again in the MTN8. At SuperSport United we have good and decent players and players who are at a high standard.

"I want to show SuperSport that you are welcome for signing me by destroying Pirates."

Lot of people have said that before and they have failed...  You have small ambitions Fikizolo that is why you even support Golden Arrows. The ONLY player that Pirates have trouble with is Niang at SSU.  Anyway we will see you during MTN 8 vela....

Relax kid. Why don't you fight for a place at Supersport first before you make empty threats? You had your chance to do what you talking about but you fell short. Uzifakela nje ipressure son.

lol you destroyed a team that ended up winning? So what happens if you don't even manage to get a goal against Pirates, lose and have people ridicule you because of this statement? Are you ready to handle something that? unnecessary pressure on yourself, you're only 19 so we understand that you are yet to grow and be humbled...

I don't like the mentality of our S.A. players, Instead of focusing on settling in his new team he is already planning to be a 1 game wonder, most of S.A. players hit form only when they play against Pirates or Chiefs & I wonder how is that helping their careers

you were an unknown entity then now you are ...and this is PSL not NFD where you were running all over like free range wont even feature for all you know. You are just seeking attention on something that happened because nobody knew you. in fact you putting yourself under unneccesary pressure.
