Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Samuel Julies enjoyed Vasco loan spell

Posted: 20 May 2014 Time: 17:20

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Samuel Julies has expressed his desire for regular game-time next season as his future remains unclear.

Julies spent the past season on loan at First Division club Vasco da Gama where he excelled playing in central midfield, but must now revert to his parent club following the completion of the season.

“At the moment I must still go back to Sundowns and hear what they say about my future since I still have a running contract with them,” says Julies speaking from his hometown Kimberley.

“To be honest, as a footballer I need to be playing because that is the only way that I can get to grow. I enjoyed my football this past season at Vasco because I was playing regularly in my original position in central midfield.

"I cannot really say what will happen but my wish is to continue getting an opportunity of playing regularly. Since I still have a running contract at Sundowns I will have to get word from them as my parent club about what will happen next with me,” says Julies.

The 23-year-old showed glimpses of quality in the few games that he played for Sundowns prior to being loaned out.

What's the point of having so many loaned players for Sundowns? Are they building their own league?

I'm a sandawana but I have watched julies play and he is ok but there isn't anyone he can unseat in central midfield at sundowns.pitso will let him go for another season as magrootman like nyandoro and moriri might retire after this season according to the grapevine.

Lets keep Julies and Themba Zwane at all costs, I dont want to hear 'there is no place for him, bla bla bla'. Its like telling Brown Dash (R.I.P.) not to sing kwaito because Mandoza is hot and there is not place for him. Instead he must try singing love songs. I dont know whether us south africans know about what is called competition and what it means to be competitive. Let me break it down, when Teko Modise came to sundowns, there was no place for him. He was given game time but he was struggling to fit in the team. His arrival let to Zothwane's jersey taken away from him and Pattison not getting regular game time he used to enjoy. All in all, Teko competed. Same thing for Moriri, there was no place for him at sundowns, some of you would quickly advise that he must go to a less competitive team to shine there. But he fought his way back to the starting eleven. Pelembe was watching a match from the stands. He fought very hard. To be the best, you gotta be with the best.

metalwolf  lol but good points nonetheless dawana. I like the brown dash mendoza one.. Hahaha, good stuff. Did you know that the only difference between golden arrows and useless chiefs are that arrows only got relegated and other than that they shared similar fates in the psl, winning fokkol, in fact chiefs were worse since they embarrassed the country not once but twice? Pathetic small club dawana. Once and always bucs.

Eish, I think we should improve his contract and try to get him into Chippa, we'll see him in 2015/2016 season. We still have Mulenga, Zwane must come back though,

Arendse must leave for good, Sumaili will go 2 Europe after the world cup, Nyandoro is done , Tiyani Mabunda must also leave , Manqele ,Henyekane, Nytama ,T sangweni, Rogers must not come be solld or let go forever as we need young stars  to replace aging Teko,Suprise,Laffor,Pelembe, which makes 4 from current squad. We need a Musona type of a striker, Sagweni Snr is good however a young cenrtal defender is needed going forward. If we buy more than two players ill be surprised, free transfer more than 2 its took much.

It should be 4-6 out, bring 4-5 loanees especially young stars, acquire 2 players only, striker Musona type, and sell

Did you know that although chiefs are zebbies and supposed to love the wild but are extremely allergic to the safari which is caf champions league, did you know that zebbie? Did you also know that chiefs embarrassed our Good name which we build up there the previous season by getting their teeth kicked out by mubele and co? Pathetic zoo will do it again just like the last time. Once and always bucs.
