SuperSport United defender Bevan Fransman is set to leave the club, director of football Stan Matthews has confirmed.
Fransman, 30, managed just 14 League appearances for Matsatsantsa this season as the team struggled to find any consistency, especially since the start of 2014.
The former Kaizer Chiefs defender is now looking to move on, and Matthews has revealed that the club is already actively seeking replacements.
“Sibusiso Zuma and Fransman will be leaving us, so we have to move quickly and find players to replace them,” Matthews tells KickOff.com.
It is not clear where Fransman will end up, with his manager Steven Kapeluschnik claiming there is a lot of interest both locally and abroad.
Kapelushchnik could not divulge the names of the interested clubs at this stage but did say that one of the teams is from Israel, with rumours that he could be heading back to Maccabi Netanya.
“At the moment we don't know what will happen, he is still contracted to SuperSport United until next season, but there are lot of teams who want him,” Kapeluschnik says.
“It is still early to tell, but we will wait and see what will happen in the coming weeks.”
Also leaving the club is Rowen Fernandez, who is believed to be on his way to Moroka Swallows.
