Kaizer Chiefs fullback Moleko: AmaZulu clash matters

Posted: 9 May 2014 Time: 14:06

Kgotso Moleko insists there is plenty riding on Kaizer Chiefs' clash with AmaZulu tomorrow despite the result having no effect on the Soweto side's placing in the League standings.

Chiefs will end their campaign against Usuthu at Peter Mokaba Stadium, having secured second spot behind new champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Fullback Moleko told Amakhosi's website: "There is always a lot at stake anytime we play a match, be it a friendly game or official competition.

"This time around we want to finish the season with the highest points possible in the League.

"Remember there's pride at stake when Chiefs take to the field and more so there's our supporters who have been faithful and amazing over the many years of existence of this club.

"We have to give them something to smile about."

Moleko, who recently shook off an ankle complaint, added: "We have done well against Usuthu recently but we know this will be a different ball game.

"Actually they want to be in the top eight, so they will come at us with all their guns blazing. We respect our opponents all the time, but we will be ready to win on Saturday."
