Hit Cntl F5 to refresh the page

Wits win 4-2 on penalties!

Bhasera to win it for Wits - SCORES!!!

Maluleka to keep Chiefs in it - SCORES!!

Kebede now - SCORES!!

Parker steps up - SCORES!!

Chapman now - SCORES!

Shabba up - SAVED, but needs to be retaken! Drama! Second effort MISSES!

Vilakazi up - SCORES!!

Letsholonyane first - SAVED!!

120 - And that's it - it's to penalties we go!

117 - Rusike tries to buy a penalty with an elaborate fall, but the ref is having none of it

115 – YELLOW for Kebede for a late challenge on Masilela

111 – Chiefs pressing here and come so close when Katsande’s header is cleared off the line by Gumede

110 – Parker shoots over from distance

106 - SUB as Kebede comes on for Shongwe

HALFTIME of extra-time...

115 - Great last-ditch tackle from Mngonyama to deny Rusike, though his first touch was awful to say the least.

113 - Credit must go to referee Robert Smith, who has been really good today.

96 - SUB: Big cheers as Tshabalala comes on to replace Nkhatha. Can Shabba prove the difference?

94 - YELLOW for Bhasera for a foul on Moleko.

93 - The influential Vilakazi at it again with a dipping effort from range which creeps just over the bar.

We're back on at Bidvest Stadium, where Wits have conceded an early free-kick in a dangerous area, but Parker's effort is woeful.

END OF 90 MINS - Extra time it is!

90 - SUB for Chiefs as Matthy Rusike comes on for Mphela.

90 - Three minutes to be added on...

89 - Dangerous free-kick for Wits following Moleko's foul on Bhasera. And it happened INCHES outside the area... Nothing comes of it though.

86 - YELLOW for Ntshangase for a foul on Parker

84 - Chapman almost makes an immediate impact as the ball drops at his feet from a long throw, but he drags it wide. Should have done better.

83 - And now it's Wits with their second SUB as Chapman replaces Ngcobo, who was brilliant today.

81 - Forced SUB for Chiefs as Moleko replaces Gaxa, who has been struggling with a groin injury.

78 - Great build-up play by Wits allows Vilakazi to fire in a low shot, but equally good save from Khune to keep the scores level.

75 - Katsande floored and bleeding from the nose - courtesy of his own player! Mathoho swings his leg through the ball and catches 'Salt & Vinegar' in the face. Ouch!

73 - Chiefs are certainly playing much better than they did in the first half, but Wits still looking the most likely here.

69 - Maluleka with a fierce drive from distance which goes just wide. The former Ajax man is having a brilliant game today, arguably his best for Chiefs.

67 - YELLOW card for Chiefs as Katsande goes into the book

63 - SUB as Matthew Booth replaces Langwe. Three at the back for Wits now

60 - Hour gone and what a game of football. This one has not disappointed!

58 - Great last-ditch tackle by Nhlapo as Maluleka goes charging through on goal. That said, Maluleka's first touch wasn't great.

57 - Ngcobo has been influential today and he again tests Khune with a good header.

Sloppy defending from Gumede allows Chiefs to keep the ball alive. Nkhatha keeps his head and passes to Maluleka to tap in

53 - GOAL Chiefs!!

What a first-time strike by Ngcobo as Chiefs are caught sleeping from a short corner. Now the work starts again for Amakhosi.

47 - GOAL Wits!!

46 - And we're back on - no changes yet.

HALFTIME: That's it for the first 45 minutes as we go in level at 1-1. Wits had the better for most of the half, but Chiefs came back strongly towards the end. Both goals from the penalty spot.

45 - Two minutes added on ...

44 - Parker starting to find some rhythm now as the front three combine on the egde of the area, but Gumede clears to safety.

41 - Mathoho down and receiving treatment after taking a blow in the face from a corner. Seems like he will continue.

Not the blatant touch of the first penalty, but Wits have no complaints over the penalty. Good composure by Mphela in front of a vocal home support.

37 - GOAL Chiefs! Mphela scores from the spot after Ntshangase had fouled Maluleka, who showed great composure in the box.

36 - PENALTY Chiefs!

32 - Another close shave for Chiefs as the defence again fluff their lines. Langwe is in behind the defence, but Khune saves for a corner.

31 - Chiefs with another shot at target, but again it's from far out. This time Maluleka fails to trouble Josephs.

28 - Parker hits the ball well from distance, but it sails about a metre over.

26 - Great chance for Chiefs as Masilela swings in a cross towards Mphela. Killer puts in a great effort, but his just can't get his diving header on target.

24 - Wits are all over Chiefs here, so Baxter immediatly sends Shabba and Lebese to warm up.

22- GOAL!! Vilakazi slots the spot-kick after he was brought down by Khune after ome clver build-up play. Khune disputes the penalty, but it was clear as daylight.

20 - PENALTY Wits!

16 - WOODWORK! What a let-off for Chiefs as Parker plays a long ball back to Khune, who is beating to it by Ngcobo. However, the ball takes a strange bounce and hits the underside of the crossbar, but doesn't cross the line.

13 - Nkhatha tries to play in Mphela, but the ball is cut out as Killer looks to run onto it. Can he build on his debut Chiefs goal in midweek?

10 - Chiefs have their first shot at goal, but it's a poor one from Maluleka as he drags a left-footed effort wide from 20 metres out.

9 - Great last-ditch tackle by Mathoho after a misplaced pass allows Langwe in. Chiefs will need to keep their concentration going.

7 - Early YELLOW CARD for Ngcobo after he throws the ball away in disgust

5- Wits have the first effort on goal, but it's a tame one - Langwe's header from the edge of the area hardly troublimng Khune.

4 - Masilela and Parker combine well down the left, but again Parker's final ball is poor.

2 - Chiefs with a dangerous free-kick, but Parker's delivery is poor.

1 - We have kicked offl Chiefs playing from left to right.

Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter has opted for an attacking line-up for today’s Nedbank Cup semi-final against Bidvest Wits.

Baxter will play a front three consisting of Katlego Mphela, Bernard Parker and Kingston Nkhatha, meaning Siphiwe Tshabalala has to be contend with a place on the bench.

George Lebese also drops down to the bench, with George Maluleka taking his place in the starting XI.

Captain Sibusiso Vilakazi returns to the starting XI after missing the goalless draw against Orlando Pirates in midweek.

Also back is Onismor Bhasera, while Letladi Madubanya starts in place of Papy Faty, who has been ruled out for nine months with a knee injury sustained against the Buccaneers.

Wits XI: Josephs, Mngonyama, Gumede, Ntshangase, Bhasera, Langwe, Vilakazi, Nhlapo, Madubanya, Shongwe, Ngcobo. Subs: Onyango, Booth, Nengomasha, Kadi, Isaacs, Chapman, Getaneh

Chiefs XI: Khune, Gaxa, Mashamaite, Mathoho, Masilela, Katsande, Letsholonyane, Maluleka, Mphela, Parker, Nkhatha. Subs: Pieterse, Tshabalala, Lebese, Gould, Bukenya, Moleko, Rusike

Hard work and dedication is what makes Nkatha preferred, I also think without Nkatha we look weak. Nkatha is our strength and weakness so to speak.

we will win this game three strikers is what we have used to have our train on track for the past months and now it back to the train.

shattered dreams for chiefs..............try next season

Still its a predictable 1 maybe the only difference is the inclusion of Maluleke whom I'm still to b convinced his a real deal,as for Nkatha he's the only good striker who is just unlucky like the whole of chiefs, but the inclusion of Parker is not justified.

Yah nhe, interesting match indeed and may the best team win 2day,i really wouldn't want 2 prefer Chiefs 2 proceed 2 the final like as if Wits were not 2 be as competant as Chiefs in the final but then again would like 2 watch an electrifying derby. Still Bucs.

I would have opted for Nkosi in the place of Beyonce, he plays crap. It's refreshing to see Shabba on the bench, I think Gaxa should have been sitting this one out and play Moleko, he's better. I say all this knowing that we are likely not to see the light of day, purely on the basis of lack of commitment and fighting spirit. If we win, I'd be surprised. The coach is all over the place, tactically.

Nkhatha knows that he has the birth right to start; somebody should watch and count how often is he going to be blown offside, thus messing up the build-ups, also, how often is gonna lose possession from a first touch, including pushing keeper and opponents during corner kicks.
