Schut, Mashaba, Moriri, Sandilands back for Mamelodi Sundowns

Posted: 30 April 2014 Time: 15:49

Log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns have received a boost as four key players are available again as the club goes in search of a first League title since 2007.

Downs skipper Alje Schut (knee), full-back Mzikayise Mashaba (groin), midfielder Surprise Moriri (flu) and goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands (ankle) have all recovered from their respective ailments.

The quartet reported for duty on Monday, with Downs set to play their next and penultimate game of the season against SuperSport United on 6 May.

However, defender Tebogo Langerman is a fitness doubt after picking up a knock at training, according to the Brazilians' official website.

Selection delemma for pitso and 2 weeks without playing just talking to the media might be their downfall n more ressure on them

@khosi lami, I do not think there is a selection dilemma here. Pitso has been consistent with his squad selection over the last couple of days. Langerman is out meaning Mashaba goes back into the starting 11, Schut and Suprise have been regular starters and it will be the same thing against Supersport.

We need all the strength left from you guys. You got the advantage provided you win your two games left. Its nerve time I understand but that should not be an excuse for slip-ups. You win your last two games, you save everyone from agony, except Chiefs supporters off course. Its painful to let it go once you have lifted it, to be called the former. T

The glory days are smelling around the corner. Its a pity the khosi nation are wishing for divine intervention. Its painful to be dethroned I understand. Its time for the Yellow nation to rise and occupy its rightful seat. To be crowned the kings of PSL 2013/2014. I am not sure if the khosi supporter will read to this far: remember the league have not won as yet football is a fun game so they say. With that in mind surely anything can still happen in the next two games no body knows for sure who will win the league. As it stand my favorite KaboYellow are in the lead. Only two games to go, it will be al over. For the moment lets keep the champagne in the ice.

KaboYellow I remain.

And do u call that predictable or knowing ur best 11? Coz they say chiefs starting line Up is easy to name I could name downs line Up against SSU

That is a narrow minded view that people have, most teams in the world have virtually the same line up each game. It is called sticking to what you know works for you and last season and for most part of the season that is what has worked for Chiefs. The hard thing about being on top is that the moment you lose one or two games people start talking and saying things like being predictable, lost form etc.

Downs win the lig while rats neighbours keep making a mockery of themselves with their irritating noise. Next week the zebrish will have their mouths completely shut after Downs collect three points from our neighbours, SSU. Our game against Maritzburg will just be an another PSL honoring fixture.
