University of Pretoria sweat over injured pair Kekana and Monama

University of Pretoria have concerns over Grant Kekana and Raymond Monama after the pair sustained injuries in the club's goalless draw with AmaZulu at the weekend.

Right-back Kekana's season may be over as he damaged his ankle, while Monama, who is on loan at Tuks from Mamelodi Sundowns, hurt his knee at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Tuks coach Steve Barker tells KickOff.com of Kekana's knock: "It is an ankle injury. It was a cross that came in and his ankle was sort of loose on the ball and it sounds like a grade one but we will know the situation once he has gone for the scan."

He adds of midfielder Monama, who came on as a 78th minute substitute: "It looks like a little bit of a knock to his knee and unfortunately we had already used all our substitutions.

"Until then, we had four minutes to play and we were without Grant and we were under pressure at the back but fortunately we came through."
