Bloemfontein Celtic to miss Musa Bilankulu against his parent club Bidvest Wits

Posted: 13 April 2014 Time: 09:52

Bloemfontein Celtic Communications Manager Silo Nduna has confirmed a full squad ahead of their Nedbank Cup quarter-final, but has revealed that on-loan defender Musa Bilankulu will not be available due to contractual agreements.

"Everybody will be available against Wits but we won't call upon Musa Bilankulu because he is on loan from Wits, and the agreement doesn't allow him to play against his parent club.” Nduna tells Kickoff.com

This is not the first blow which Celtic have suffered with loan agreements, as they also had Mamelodi Sundowns defender Musa Nyatama out when they faced the Chloorkop-based side in the league in midweek.

Nduna has emphasised that they want to go all the way and win this trophy on show, but are aware that it won't be an easy task against a buoyant Bidvest Wits outfit.

"We want to go to the semi-final by beating Wits and put smiles on our fans' faces. We deem this cup competition a test of our wit, and want to go all the way to the final. Of course it won't be easy but we promise the fans that we will bring smiles to their faces.

"It will be wonderful to win this trophy for our fans who have been through thick and thin, but still sticking behind us especially at home and throughout the season,” says Nduna.

"We will leave no stone unturned and leave everything on the field. We respect them, they play good football but we will try to nullify their onslaught."

Nduna also says the defeat to ‘Downs in midweek will not affect the players in this match, as they have left the result in the past and are now focussed on making amends in the cup.

"We told them that they need to forget about that game [against Sundowns]. It has past. We can't change a past result, but the future is determined by our hard work on the field.

"It was indeed a tough game [against Sundowns] and you can agree with me that we created chances, but we never let any of them past their goalie. Today that will be rectified, and hopefully the boys will be in the mood to change those shortcomings. We need to unlock them in those little pockets of space,” says Nduna.

Ernst Middendorp's side will also be without the services of Lerato Lamola who faces a one-match suspension, after accumulating four yellow cards.

Meanwhile Bidvest Wits will also be affected by suspension as influential center-back Matthew Both also picked up his fourth yellow card against Platinum Stars in midweek league action.

@Tsunami it is exposing ur stupidity especially if it's something that you don't have control of.Remember contract is entered and signed by both parties meaning u both agree to the terms that's why u be never heard those teams complaining about those rules and its not only done here in Rsa its worldwide depending with negotiations remember football is business and both parties must benefit its either pay and let my player play against me or get him for free then he doesn't l hope its clear if it was illegaly I don't think Fifa was going to allow it so only stupid people don't understand this
