Lerato Manzini not doing enough at Bloem Celtic training, says Ernst Middendorp

Posted: 10 April 2014 Time: 16:02

Bloemfontein Celtic coach Ernst Middendorp says striker Lerato Manzini is not doing enough at training to warrant a place in the starting line-up.

Manzini has not seen much game-time since Middendorp took over the coaching reins at Celtic and the striker is already being linked with a move away from Siwelele next season.

The Phunya Sele Sele coach tells KickOff.com there is no bad blood between him and Manzini and is hoping the player will get his chance very soon.

“We go with regularly what we see in training and during the week how players are performing, and if they are ready to play. I don't make decisions, the players make decision with their performance," says Middendorp.

“I have the impression that he is not doing what we want and if that's the case it doesn't matter who the player is, he will be left behind. It is just not his week, not his days now, and I hope he will come back and help us."

Funny that he did enough while Larsen was there, are you not perhaps the problem with your defensive orientated football? Roger de sa said this very same thing about tlou, in came vivi and boom tlou play again without even doing anything different plus he scored already. I for one don't believe that manzini that used to score crucial goals for Celtic are not doing enough, I just don't! So try a better excuse coach, perhaps like ' I need players that have defensive awarenesses, like knowing what to do when I say let's ' park the bus ". Manzini is a wizard with a ball, a very attack minded player and you can't expect him to do the same as Clayton Daniels, that's crazy and I bet middendorp wants that and calls it ' a disciplined approach ' lol.... Crazy coach! Once and always bucs.

No wonder you battling to score enough goals you either win 1-0 or 2-1, draws with less than 4 goals, you started what you did to Chiefs benching Scara (RIP), and chasing and fighting other players who made us to take the league back to back. Advise the boy instead of jumping into the Media else you just trying to justify yourself in excluding this boy.  He is Prolific so I think any big Team can get returns from this boy.
