Mamelodi Sundowns suffer Sandilands blow

Posted: 28 March 2014 Time: 10:58

Mamelodi Sundowns will be without goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands when they take on neighbours University of Pretoria in the League on Sunday.

The Bafana Bafana man, who has been in good form, has been ruled out of the Loftus Stadium tie after injuring his ankle during his side's 3-1 win at Platinum Stars earlier in the week.

Downs spokesman Kabelo Mosito told KickOff.com: "Wayne Sandilands is out due to an injury picked up against Platinum Stars.

"The club is still yet to establish the extent of his injury."

Zambian gloveman Kennedy Mweene will now retain the number one jersey at Chloorkop.

Poor rodents, this will be the worst weekend of their miserable lives, cause this is what's gonna happen this weekend;

Pirates lose/draw against 'oldies' Swallows;

Sundowns lose/draw against Tuks;

Chiefs beat Vita to advance to Caf GS's.....

Triple blow, triple headache, triple loss for rodents!

BACK TO LOOSING WAYS!

i don't like this goal keeper, he relax too much, he doesn't distribute the ball correctly, always passing defenders instead of kick it long front

il just stop watching sundowns till Sandiland is back!

Big blow indeed, I hope Mweene saw that his got a real competition in Sandilands and will show more hunger and spirit.

I see now the tortoiseos of Naturena are focused on inflicting injuries to our players rather than s$hitting the pitch for Thieves to win. It seems glory is to be reclaimed by hook or by crook, Pitso must also watch out of a premeditated accident by Bobby.

It's the best worst feeling and even if I die i'll die a death worth living....!!
