CAF Confederation Cup Etoile du Sahel SuperSport

Posted: 22 March 2014 Time: 18:06

SuperSport United have it all to do after a 1-0 defeat to Etoile du Sahel in their first leg CAF Confederation Cup tie at the Stade Olympique de Sousse in Tunisia.

Matsatsantsa had a number of chances to get on the scoresheet, and did actually have the ball in the net to what looked a perfectly good goal from Mame Niang but it was bizarely ruled out.

As it was, the decisive moment of the match came on seven minutes when Alaya Brigui scored past Ronwen Williams at the back-post.

SuperSport pushed hard for the equaliser and came close on a few ocsasions through the likes of Thuso Phala, Sibusiso Khumalo and Lebohang Manyama, but it was not to be, meaning Cavin Johnson and his men have it all to do in the second leg in Tshwane.

Etoile du Sahel: Ayoub, Abderrazak, Felhi, Ghezal, Nagguez, Alaya Brigui, Slama, Kom, Tej, Mouihbi, Troudi.

SuperSport United: Wiliiams, Moeketsi, September, Diouf, Khumalo, Gyimah, Mkhabela, Doutie, Phala, Manyama, Niang.

I'm also surprised Y the silence. Its been 3 days now and we haven't heard anything from Kickoff of the train. Maybe KO didn't send its jurnos there because we all know why

It is not over till it's over. Do not despair, Matsatsantsa, you still have chance to redeem your pride. Make sure you win the second leg without them scoring a goal. They did that at their own backyard then what will stop you from doing that here at home. Unlucky boys.

Good luck to my one and only team, Amakhosi amahle

HADY Matsatsantsa .....come home and reverse that little score-line...you still in with a chance....just don't allow them to score here...we are behind you boys as we did with Pirates

In Champions League games the "homeboy decision" phenomenon is quite common, where undeserving pathetic home teams win games just because they are playing at home. Referees seems to be scared of the home crowd and officials. The most recent game that come to mind being the Pirates-Mazembe game. I wish one day CAF will be lead by reasonable people that will stamp it out as is killing the game on the continent.

you think pirates is the only team here that can go as far as the finals...we also know you cannot wait for their loss. you are not the best, for info, any team can do better than your pierats @alfredscara
