Tuks wait on Nyondo and Massa

Posted: 16 March 2014 Time: 10:02

University of Pretoria strikers Atusaye Nyondo and Geoffrey Massa face late fitness tests ahead of their League match against Ajax Cape Town on Sunday.

Coach Steve Barker might have to juggle around his combinations in attack if his main strikers are not available for the clash.

Nyondo, who was substituted during the team’s 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates, is suffering from a bout of flu.

Massa has just recovered from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action for the past two games and Barker will have to decide whether or not he is fit enough for competitive action.

“The two players will have to undergo fitness tests to determine whether they will play on Sunday or not. The rest of the players are all fit for selection,” Tuks spokesperson Khathochelo Mbanda tells KickOff.com.

The attacking combination of Nyondo and Massa has been a major driving force for the club this season.

Ajax Cape Town vs AmaTuks kicks off at 15h30 at Athlone Stadium today.
