AS Vita next for Kaizer Chiefs in CAF Champions League

Posted: 9 March 2014 Time: 19:52

Kaizer Chiefs will face Democratic Republic of Congo side AS Vita in the next round of the CAF Champions League.

The Amakhosi eased past Mozambican side Liga Muculmana this weekend, beating them 7-0 on aggregate courtesy of Knowledge Musona’s hat-trick in the second leg.

It was not quite as straight-forward for AS Vita though, as they sneaked a 1-0 win against Zimbabwean side Dynamos on Sunday for a 1-0 aggregate win.

Chiefs will now face the DRC side on the weekend of March 21-23, with the return leg a week later.

But their results against Dynamos doesn't suggest so, especially playing in their own backyard.

Guys this is not going to be easy at all!AS Vita is one of the 2 best teams in DRC along side TP Mazembe. In fact TP has failed to beat them in the local league for the last two years. And for the past 5 years if the national champion is not TP then it is AS Vita. There a very good side, this is going to be a big test for Chiefs. Good luck.
