Orlando Pirates winger Masuku reveals attitude adjustment

Orlando Pirates winger Khethokwakhe Masuku says he is benefitting this season from an attitude adjustment.
Masuku, who joined Pirates from Black Leopards last term, has impressed of late, notably scoring the winner in a man-of-the-match display against title rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on 25 February.
“I learnt a good lesson at Pirates,” Masuku told his club's official website. “You can have all the skills in the world and be a great player, but here at Pirates you have to have a lot more than that to survive. It is a big team so, you have to have a big heart.
“I know myself, I know what I can do on the field. I had to change something in me. I changed my attitude to start off with. I could not sit in the corner and feel sorry for myself because I was not playing. I waited for my chance and I think I have done well so far.
“I don’t pay attention to criticism. Everything I do on the field is to help the team. So, if it didn’t work, I tell myself I should not get worried but try harder next time.
“That has helped me to develop this tough skin I have now. I do not take things personally anymore. I told myself to be bold and not let things get to me. If I play I do my best and I make sure I am happy with my game."
