Ajax Cape Town discipline Mzwakali

Posted: 28 February 2014 Time: 12:32

Ajax Cape Town midfielder Bantu Mzwakali is set to return back to the team to face Polokwane City tonight after being hauled before his club's disciplinary committee.

Mzwakali raised management's ire for snubbing a handshake from caretaker coach Ian Taylor when being substituted barely 30 minutes after replacing Karl Lark in a game against Orlando Pirates on February 18.

And while Ajax boss Ari Efstathiou confirmed Mzwakali came before their disciplinary structures and has since been cleared to play, he did not disclose the outcome of the proceedings.

"I can't disclose the outcome, it was an internal matter. But he is back now and available for selection in our next match," said Efstathiou.

It is understandable what Bantu did. I will do the same.  I come in for someone and before the game ends, you take me out...that is bad!!! I am a substitute and you also substitute me?

Sgura (Home-boiz) senzwa  But then if you look at the time that was left, it was not necessary.. Could have left the boy to finish the game and talk to him later. I didn't see them scoring or conceding.

Sgura (Home-boiz) senzwa  As a coach, ur actions go a long way torwards the development of a player.  Bantu might have not played to instruction, but this could have been caused by unique situations that occur on the field of play.  I remember that game, Bantu created 2 chances for Ajax, which if could have been capitalised on would have yielded a different final result in that game.  I dont condone what Bantu did, but that was a pathetic move by Taylor.  He victimised the boy.

This team has also embarrassed me....I will never forget or forgive what they did to us...its a joke team with players getting paid contractors salaries....poor management and unexperienced leadership from the office...Ian is their clone....Will never send my brother there....that's why non of players from there are in national team...
