Lucky Nguzana training with AmaZulu

Former Golden Arrows striker Lucky Nguzana is training with AmaZulu with the hope of earning a contract at Usuthu.

Nguzana, a product of Mamelodi Sundowns' development and former South Africa Under-20, was released by Golden Arrows this week.

The 22-year-old has been training with Arrows' KZN neighbours for the last few weeks and could be offered a deal now that he is a free agent.

"He came here and we are yet to make a decision, and in saying that, the club will make a decision in the next couple of days or so. There is nothing 100% finalised on that one as yet," Lunga Sokhela, marketing manager at AmaZulu, tells KickOff.com.

"At the moment we do need a striker to cover us up-front because we are more thin in that department. He is not alone at the club because there are a couple of players [on trial] and I don't know maybe it might be him or not."

AmaZulu have recently confirmed the signing of Zambian international striker Bornwell Mwape, who although he only joins the club in July, still casts some doubt over a long-term deal for the ex-Amajita striker.

"It is a possibility we may sign Nguzana. Look, the coaching staff are pleased with what they have seen of him so far, we just have to hear the recommendations from the [technical] staff," Sokhela adds.

Damn I like the style of this boy. If Usuthu signs him that will be very good for the team.
