SuperSport United captain Fransman: Kaizer Chiefs are far ahead

Posted: 20 February 2014 Time: 16:15

SuperSport United captain Bevan Fransman admits it will be a huge task to catch up with pace-setting champions Kaizer Chiefs.

Matsatsantsa, in third place on the table, trail the Premiership leaders by 11 points with 11 rounds of fixtures to go.

Mamelodi Sundowns are nine points behind Amakhosi, but with two games in hand.

"Chiefs are quite far away ahead of the rest, so it's going  to be a huge task if we are to get them," Fransman says.

"They need to drop points if we are to catch them, but yeah it is not going to be easy."

Fransman is therefore placing great importance on chasing Nedbank Cup honours, with United set to visit neighbours University of Pretoria in the last-32 of the competition on Saturday.

"It is the only silverware which is reachable besides the CAF Confederations Cup. We've got to focus on it."

I hope your neighbours in Mamelodi can listen to you as did your heroes in Orlando who gave up a long time ago and are now fighting for Top 8

Tough ask? Udakiwe! It is impossible 4 SSU to catch the mighty Amakhosi, Pirates will eliminate Downs 4 us & we'll go to the finish line running in reverse like Ussain Bolt! K4L!

Tumour With pierats so consistent, I wouldn't hold my breath. The best they can do is to keep a clean sheet, only Pelembe looks like scoring there n  I bet he'll start on the bench

I’m not sure if my family noticed what happened last night , Tsietsi Mahoa (klap) Tshabalala. I’m really disappointed with SS commentators especially Brian Mathe.

When Morgan Gould hit a player few weeks ago, he was on Morgan’s case saying sorts of things, brutality, dirty player etc.

Last night Tsietsi Mahoa did something similar to what Morgan Gould did and all he did last night was to laugh and ridicule that incident and try to make dry jokes about it.

Brian Mathe’s comments are prejudice sometimes and its unsatisfactory to have such incompetent commentators for SS, he’s disappointing.

If it was Kazier Chiefs player doing that …he was gonna use 15mins of that game criticising and talking about brutality and dirty player.

Gucci Man  It's very hard to tell who is the main commentator sometimes... every breath Sizwe takes, Brian will say something. sometimes he even cuts him short... Especially when he reacts to things first time without waiting for replay... "That's a red card, That's an offside, That's out, That's blablabla.." It's annoying.

when he is with Glenson It's even worse... Too Negative.
