Mpumalanga Black Aces have finally registered Energy Murambadoro after the Department of Home Affairs issued the Zimbabwean goalkeeper with his permanent residence on Friday.
Murambadoro signed for Aces at the beginning of the season but has not been available for selection due to the fact that he has been waiting for the issuing of the papers that allow him to be registered as a non-foreigner.
Gordon Masondo, the Aces spokesman, confirms that Murambadoro has now been registered and will be available for selection when AmaZayoni host Moroka Swallows in Nelspruit on Wednesday.
“We have now registered Energy after he was issued with his permanent residence papers on Friday. He is now available for selection just like all the other players that we have in the squad,” Masondo tells KickOff.com.
Murambadoro’s availability means Aces now have four goalkeepers in the running for the starting jersey after Jackson Mabokgwane was also snapped up during the January transfer window.
Aces only had two keepers – Bafana Nhlapo and Calvin Marlin – available for selection for the first half of the season, with the former playing all games to date.
