SuperSport United have signed Thamsanqa Teyise from AmaZulu on a pre-contract.

The central defender’s contract expires in June and will arrive at United on a free transfer when the deal comes to an end.

SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews is delighted with the move after the player opted for United following the pursuit of several clubs.

"We are very pleased to have secured the services of Thamsanqa Teyise for next season. He is one of the best defenders in the PSL and we are happy that he has entrusted us to take his career to the next level.

“Teyise is a player that we have been eyeing for a while now and we are happy that he decided to commit himself to Matsatsantsa for the next three years.”

SuperSport have also landed Michael Morton on a pre-contract, while also signing Dino Ndlovu, Thato Mokeke and Lebohang Manyama.

The pre-contracts are becoming a trend set by KinG Major, now teams will learn to negotiate very early with their key players. Oh Rhee started it from Vasco to SSU

THE queue at PSL / SAFA house is too long. Everyone is trying to beat the cut off time of 17h00. I think NFD stream should be separated from the PSL stream. And the database combined later. Some people might not make it by 17h00. Then what?

Whoever of sources information for SSU on the availability players is doing an excellent job. They always sign players on pre contracts and bring "unhappy" South Africans from Europe.
