Orlando Pirates v Bloemfontein Celtic

Posted: 30 November 2013 Time: 19:44

Bloemfontein Celtic beat Orlando Pirates 3-2 in their League clash at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night.

Celtics goals were scored by Vuyani Ntanga, Thabo Nthethe and Musa Nyatama while Lennox Bacela and Andile Jali scored for Pirates.

Celtic took the game to Pirates but missed a lot of good scoring opportunities.

The visitors scored through a volley from Vuyani Ntanga in the 39th minute to make the score 1-0.

Bucs started the second half well and had a few chances in the opening minutes.

The equalizer came in the 55th minute from a shot by Lennox Bacela.

Siwelele took the lead again in the 66th minute through Thabo Nthethe who swept Letlabika’s cross home past Meyiwa.

Mhango should have scored for Celtic in the 84th minute but hammered his shot over the bar.

Celtic were awarded a penalty in the 88th minute when Gumede brought down Lerato Lamola in the area. Musa Nyatama scored sending Meyiwa the wrong way to make the score 3-1.

Pirates were awarded their own penalty deep in stoppage time after Collins Mbesuma was brought down in the box and it was Andile Jali who scored and made it 3-2.

Back Page That's their best attendance figures by far. Those things last went to the stadium to see the magic of KC. At least today they have scaled 220 fans including Celtics.

i want to hear what King has to say, you would think they have numbers but evidence is here and they are playing at home, no transport costs, no hail storm and no e-toll toyi-toyi; no excuse, just fact that they cant fill the venue.

Come on bucs no excuse its month end plus bonuses have just kicked in so no money issues was looking for red sea but on a serious note can Baxter be brave like Rodger did today throw a young star Gumede in such a game I am saying such a game in a sense that we know both teams are so in need of points to move up the log or will he use Dladla as a defender while he has young promising defender on a bench

Efficient play from Celtic... Cosmetic superficial play from the not so Dreamy Team at the moment.... Flat...

I really can't believe that there's still a gospel doing the rounds that Senzo is the best in africa, i mean really now. He's jittery and almost always indecisive surely he can do better than this. Pieterse on his first game was much more composed than this.
