Larsen confirmed as Maritzburg coach

Posted: 15 October 2013 Time: 13:35

Maritzburg United have officially confirmed Clinton Larsen as their new coach.

The news was confirmed in a press conference in Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.

"Clinton Larsen is officially unveiled here as the new head coach of Maritzburg United," the club tweeted.

Larsen stepped down from the Bloemfontein Celtic coaching job suddenly on October 7, and was linked to the vacant Polokwane City coaching seat.

However, the former Manning Rangers and Orlando Pirates midfielder will now be leading the Team of Choice this season.

His predecessor at Maritzburg, Ernst Middendorp, has become his successor at Celtic.

Manqoba Mngqithi, who was also linked to the Maritzburg job, is still without a job offer after stepping down at Golden Arrows.

Kb83  This happen all over man. The lifespan of a coach anywhere  is equal to last game he won. Even Gooners were  thinking of letting Wenger go. There are only few coaches who last longer than 3 years. Coach move around, they can even go back to the team that fired them
